The main area of Puerto Pollensa features a Market Square, here you will find plenty of things going on and an abundance of restaurants, cafes and bars. It is quite a lively area especially in the evenings. There are plenty of Tapas and Paellas available. The square is also home to the weekly market. This happens every Wednesday from 9.00am - 1.00pm. On offer are fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, gifts, clothing and more. It is held throughout the year but there are more stalls during the summer months.
Puerto Pollensa is the perfect starting point for trips and excursions. Why not explore the Formentor Peninsula or take a boat ride to one of the many snorkelling points around the coast.
The area surrounding Puerto Pollensa is full of history and culture. Popular sites include the Roman Bridge and Romanesque Church of Pollentia. A visit to the Watchtower of Albercutx is a must for stunning views overlooking Alcudia Bay. Formentor Lighthouse is also worth a visit.
Puerto Pollensa is very popular with the cyclist community thanks to the many routes surrounding the area and challenging mountain climbs through the Tramuntana Mountain range. The SKY team choose to base their pre season camp in the area.
Puerto Pollensa has many walking routes in the area on of the most popular is The Boquer Valley walk which will lead you through fantastic scenery and to a cove. Here you may see a glimpse of natural wildlife in particular native birds....don't forget your binoculars.
Mallorca is known for its scenic Golf courses and Golf Pollenca is the same. This is a 9 hole course with beautiful views of the Tramnuntana Mountain Range. The course was opened in 1986 and was re designed in 2000 by Michael Pinner. This is a medium difficulty course which is ideal for players with any handicap. In high season a round will start from 45€
