Outdoor Space
The pool area at Villa Florencia is very large so perfect for a family holiday. The pool is surrounded by sun loungers and has a shaded area to sit and enjoy a drink. A large external dining table is ideal for family meals. The pool itself is approximately 8x5 mtrs and has a depth of 1.9mtrs. A relaxing area for everyone to enjoy and admire the far reaching views.
Living Space
The owner at Villa Florencia has thoughtfully designed and decorated Villa Florencia to a high standard throughout. The living areas are very cosy and have large sofas so the family can sit around the Freesat TV together. The second living area has a feature fireplace. A new WiFi booster has been installed in the property providing good coverage all over the house.
Kitchen And Utilities
The kitchen has been recently updated and is looking fantastic and has everything needed for a family villa holiday. A large split level lounge/diner area with doors lead to the terrace area and outdoor space. The new state of the art kitchen has integrated appliances and hob and large fridge freezer, a breakfast bar with comfortable seats is perfect for morning coffees. Plenty of light is given by the two feature chandeliers which hang over the breakfast bar and dining table.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
All of the bedrooms are a good size and have plenty of storage space. One of the bedrooms is on ground floor level, this is a double bedroom with bath and shower overhead en suite. There is also a guest W.C on this level.
Heading upstairs to the further bedrooms. The Master has an en suite with views from a private balcony. The further two rooms are large doubles and share a bathroom and balcony. Bathrooms are large with baths, separate showers, double sinks and bidets.

A beautiful and very spacious 4 bed roomed Mediterranean villa, within 10 minutes walking distance from both the little beach and resort.
The ground floor has a brand new state of the art kitchen-diner, with access to terrace/external dining area, there is a large split level lounge-diner, with terrace doors that lead to the pool area, there is a separate TV lounge WITH FREESAT , en-suite , air conditioned double bedroom with bath and overhead shower, there is also a guest toilet on the ground floor. There is a new WIFI booster at the property providing good coverage everywhere.
The upstairs has 3 large bedrooms leading from the open gallery, all bedrooms have air conditioning. The beautiful master has an en-suite with a far reaching view to the sea from a private balcony. The two other large double bed rooms share a bathroom and balcony, bathrooms are large with baths, and separate showers and double sinks and bidets.
The extensive terraces lead out from the kitchen and lounge , there is ample sunbathing and shaded areas when time out of the sun is required, there is an external dining area to enjoy alfresco dining, plus open bar area and sun terrace,there is comfortable sofa style seating, ample sun loungers and parasols, all overlooking the swimming pool which measures approximately 8 X 5 Mtrs and has a depth of 1.9mtrs and established garden with far reaching views beyond.
This superb villa can comfortably accommodates 8 people with dining for 8 both inside and out. Air conditioning upstairs and central heating throughout.
A very quiet area with the Little Beach and the larger beach of Santa Ponsa both within walking distance , 10-15 minutes away by car you will find many beaches and hidden coves, including , Portals , Ileatas, Paguera, Camp de Mar and Sant Elmo, for those feeling more adventurous there are plenty of great routes for for hiking and cycling. Golf lovers will appreciate the 3 Santa Ponsa golf courses while boaters will enjoy Puerto Portals, Port Adriano and Port Nautico which are only a couple minutes drive away. Quality restaurants, bars and cafes are all within easy reach.

Beaches in Santa Ponsa
Santa Ponsa Beaches
The main sandy family friendly beach is one of the main reasons why this lovely resort has return customers year after year. We have a couple of villas in #santaponsa that are close or even within walking distance to the beach.
Main beach
The main beach in Santa Ponsa is otherwise known as Playa de Santa Ponsa. This is where you will find most visitors. There are plenty of sunbeds with parasols which are available to rent for around 11€ per bed. The beach is a large crescent shaped bay, 1300 meters long and 100 meters wide, this beach is perfect for families. Water sports are on offer here including paddle boarding, kayaking, water skiing, banana boats and pedalos which are a great way to explore. There is a promenade close to the beach giving easy access to all the eateries and cafes in the immediate area. Regular boat trips are available from the beach.
Pellicer Beach
Locally and affectionatley known as little beach, if you walk slightly East of the main beach ( about a 15 minute walk ) you will find this pretty smaller cove. This beach is perfect for families as there is a small park area, ideal for the little ones. Clear, safe waters make this an ideal spot for swimming and snorkelling.
Cala Fornells
Even though Cala Fornells is not strictly in Santa Ponsa, it is only a 10 minute bus ride away and with easy transport links this beach has to have a mention. If you want to escape all the crowds in high season, this is the beach for you! Cala Fornells is a picturesque beach surrounded by cliffs and pine trees. There is a little beach bar restaurant on one side of the sand. Here you will find a laid back atmosphere with casual dining options. There a 3 ways to get to this beach. The Line 122 bus will take around 10 minutes from Santa Ponsa, a taxi will get you there is 11 minutes and will cost around 11€ or if you are feeling fit it will take around 1 hour 20 minutes to walk!
Cala Blanca
Head West of Santa Ponsa and you will come across Cala Blanca beach, this is a small sandy beach and perfect for swimming and sunbathing and is less crowded in Summer months.

There are plenty of shopping/browsing opportunities in this large resort. Various supermarkets to local groceries and a large Eroski if you need to do a larger food shop. All of our villas are within a short drive to a local supermarket.

You'll find several boutiques and clothing stores in Santa Ponsa selling beachwear, casual clothing, and designer brands. Whether you're looking for a new swimsuit or some trendy resort wear, you'll have plenty of options for example Prithvi Moda which sells numerous branded clothing including Hugo Boss.
Souvenir and Crafts
Santa Ponsa offers numerous shops and stalls where you can purchase traditional Mallorcan souvenirs and crafts. Look for items like ceramics, leather goods, embroidered linens, and handmade jewellry. These make for great mementos of your trip. Take a walk up to the 'Square' there are some lovely little shops selling tourist gifts and holiday souvenirs.

Fun Activities in Santa Ponsa
The main activity on holiday is the beach and with 2 fantastic beaches in Santa Ponsa and numerous beaches in the surrounding area, this is a perfect resort if lying on the soft sand and relaxing with a good book is for you. However, if you prefer a more active holiday there are plenty of options to keep you busy!
Paddleboarding
This is a fantastic way of exploring Santa Ponsa and is a perfect Core sport. For those who have excellent balance Zoea Mallorca hire Paddle boards by the hour starting at 16€ with a maximum hire of 4 hours at a cost of 40€
Snorkelling
This is a great activity for exploring the hidden underwater World of Santa Ponsa. Zoea Mallorca have a 3 hour snorkelling session. This is a beginners course and is 54€. You have to be over the age of 8 and be able to swim. The session includes Full Equipment hire, registration, a presentation by your guide, preparation i,e gearing up, a 10 minute ride to the snorkelling site then a dive for around an hour. Then head back to base! Transfers are included providing you are staying in the Calvia area. Diving
Zoea Mallorca also do a complete Diving course to obtain a PADI diving qualification. With 20 years of experience they will provide you with full equipment, insurance and transfers. An intense course starts with Theory and includes 5 modules that will cover all the subjects related to the depth, equipment, dive and techniques. In the classrooms you can watch videos and you will have quizzes and a final exam. You then move on to the pool sessions where you will learn all the skills and techniques. Then you will head out to open sea and cover 4 sessions from the boat into the water. The first 2 dives being a maximum 12meters before your final dives at 18 meters. The cost of this course is 445€
For those who already have Diving experience Zoea Mallorca also have a range of packages to suite all levels.
E Scooter
This is a relatively new experience on the Island. Environmentally friendly, this is a fun tour to explore the Island. Discover wonderful landscapes, ride on a off road path and hear the history of the Island from your guide. 10 participants are allowed. The tour includes transfers from Santa Ponsa areas, helmet and protection and the tour which lasts around 2 hours. Kayaking
This is a fantastic way to see the coast line. ZoeaMallorca have a 3 hour tour which includes full equipment, and guide. Start from their base at Club Nautico Santa Ponsa and head for the Malgrats Island where you will discover hidden coves and natural pools. This tour starts at 10am and is 54€ per person. You can also hire Kayaks at 16€ for 1 hour, 28€ for 2 hours. 36€ for 3 hours and 40€ for 4 hours.
Horseriding
What a romantic way to spend a couple of hours. Rancho la Romana based in Paguera have gentle and well trained horses/ponies, excellent staff and good instruction on how to ride and hold on to the horse! Boat trip
Coastline and Malgrats Island by Catamaran. A great excursion to see Paguera, Santa Ponsa and Camp de Mar. Tour around the Malgrats Island and spot the local wildlife. Beautiful scenery along the coastline and if there is enough time some swimming stops. The upper deck of the catamaran has sunbathing space, the lower deck is submerged with underwater windows so you have great views of native fish. Refreshments and snacks are available to purchase on board.
Private Yacht Hire
Imaging doing the above trip but on your own private chartered yacht with experience crew and deck hands. Sample a delicious meal surrounded by the Mediterranean sea. Discover quite coves and spend time snorkelling with your loved ones. We can also put you in touch with larger vessels which have all the toys to have a fun day out at sea!!
Waterparks
Santa Ponsa is in a great location for days out at the waterpark. Marineland Mallorca located nearby, is a marine zoo and water park with dolphin and sea lion shows. Western Waterpark
This is a large family fun filled waterpark located in Magaluf. This is a full days experience of adrenaline filled rides. El Latigo is a ride with exciting aquatic curves, with numerous other slides to get the heart pumping! There are also areas of the park which are a little more laid back with a lazy river ride and a renovated pool so you can relax for a bit! Golf
Golf Santa Ponsa is an ideal location to play golf in the area as it has a course of 18 holes, with the 10th hole being one of the longest in Europe at 590 meters. The course itself has beautiful views of Puig Galatzó and covers an area of 73 hectares, with a variety of trees and lakes to pass as you progress.
The course is designed to appeal to all players, with wide fairways and tees for long hitters to enjoy. In addition to the course, you will also have at your disposal a driving range to practice your game, a chipping area and two putting greens. Fiestas
Santa Ponsa is famous throughout the island for hosting two big Fiestas every year. The first is called the Rocio, and this is a five day Andalucian Religious Festival, which is held during the first weekend in June each year. In keeping with most religious festivals in Mallorca these days, it becomes a long weekend of food, drink and music, along with a little bit of praying! The Rocio does attract a large number of people to the town each year, and there is always a great selection of side shows and stalls.
Fiesta of King James has now grown into a two week celebration that usually starts around the 1st of September, to commemorate the landing and conquering of Mallorca by Jaime I in 1229. He and his troops landed at Santa Ponsa, and today the spot is marked by a stone cross on the southern headland not far from the nautical club. The fiesta ends on the second weekend of the month with a grand procession through the streets, followed by a mock battle between the Moors and Christians on the beach on the Saturday. That night there is then a rock concert from 9pm until 4am, which has in the past attracted many top international acts. The whole fiesta ends with a grand fireworks display at midnight on the Sunday, the likes of which you've never seen before.
Santa Ponsa Jungle Park

It is located in a beautiful pine forest near to the main beach and is made up of 123 platforms offering hours of fun adventures in the trees! Jungle Parc requires move from one tree to the next using ropes, vines, bridges and zip wires and all kinds of other obstacles.

The nightlife in Santa Ponsa is also fantastic as the entertainment activities start early in the evening. As the night comes in, the streets are filled with sounds and light from the various entertainment joints. There are a variety of music clubs, night clubs, great pubs and discos in which people on holiday will definitely love
Most pubs, bars, and restaurant in Santa Ponsa focus mainly on the family holiday; hence, there are bars and even discos that target teenagers. Live bands and family entertainment are found in The Square (Los Jardines) in the Costs de la Calma District and disco bars are located in Manhattans, and Greenhills. It is an excellent place to relax while taking your favourite cocktail.
Cycling
This is a great activity in Santa Ponsa, with a range of routes to get you out and exploring the local areas. Recently returned from a lovely week’s stay at Villa Florencia. We were a family of ten including two children and two babies- the villa accommodated us all extremely comfortably.
The Villa , is indeed as beautiful and impressive as it is depicted in the photographs . Florencia is a ‘ home from home ‘ - tastefully decorated and furnished and equipped with everything a guest may require for an amazing holiday .
The views from the Villa’s balconies and beautiful pool and garden are lovely too ! Gorgeous sunsets can be appreciated whilst enjoying a glass or two!
The whole family had a fantastic week at Villa Florencia. Jane , the owner,was extremely kind and helpful- offering advice if needed .
Would love to return to Villa Florencia in the future !
I would not hesitate to book through Southwest Mallorca again . The company, particularly Lucy and Debbie, were professional and very efficient when dealing with my booking .

We had a lovely stay at Case Florencia from 9th to 16 th July. Great location - very quiet- gave us the best opening of our vacation to really relax. Close to Santa Ponsa and Port Adriano for dinners and short ride into Palma for shopping. The house easily accommodate 8 people. Nice layout. Good size bedrooms and bathrooms. Two large living rooms, however they were not used by us - it is outside one really gets the value of the property. Sea view from the pool and lounge area. Great pool with a nice comfortable Roman stairway. Shallow at one end and with a sliding drop towards the other end. Possible to dive - about 2,10m. (Pool might be 8/9 x 5/6 meters). Beautiful flowers and vegetation gives this area a nice surroundings both during the day and evening. The outside roof gives, very much needed, shadow from the heating sun - and covers for breakfast and lunch. Pool well maintained. If you like to see the entire area take a 10 min hike up the mountain in the morning (before the heat sets in) - really worth the minor effort! Jane was an amazing host. Present upon our arrival and very easy to communicate with. Everything in fine working order and the place have all you need! Hope to get back someday! We holiday in Mallorca most years (last 14 years) renting villas, joint family of 6 people. By far we all agreed this was the best we have ever stayed in. We were greeted by Brandon on arrival who showed us round and felt safe in the knowledge that he and Jane were quite close and on hand for any questions. The villa was spotlessly clean and very well decorated, the terrace and pool area were fantastic. Being their family home for 8 months of the year it did feel like a home from home, obviously with a mediterranean feel. It was the little things as well, games left for us, the sonos speaker, spices were left in the kitchen, BBQ trays were available, table tennis the list goes on. We had a fabulous time here and didn't venture out as much as other years, it was just so relaxing. We are already planning our return.

We recently enjoyed a two week stay at villa Florencia with our family.
We had an amazing time. The villa was perfect for our family requirements. The kitchen was very well equipped for us who like to cook. The outside space was perfect from drinking eating and sitting.
The bedrooms and bathroom were clean. Bedding clean and crisp and very comfy. Never slept so well .The location for our grown up family was great for accessing the beach and bars etc.
The owners Jane and Brandon were a delight.
We have rented several villas in the southwest of Majorca and this without doubt has been our favourite. We look forward to hopefully being able to return .

We had a great stay in this villa. Very quiet, clean and everything we needed. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway and great for families.

Our stay at Villa SP01 in Santa Ponsa was everything we could wish for. The Villa was well equipped, and I cannot come up with anything that we missed. The pool was very nice, and good to have when the sun was bathing all day.
We was a family of 7 persons, and there are plenty space for everyone, and the air conditioned sleeping rooms gave us possibility to have a good nights sleep.
The area around Santa Ponsa offers many nice beaches, and the close distance to Palma made it easy to go to any restaurants we might like to visit.
We can highly recommend this beautiful house, and would not hesitate to come back.

What struck us first was the cleanliness of the property and the warm welcome the owner gave us which was a very nice touch knowing they were local for any needs we might have. We felt it was an ideal location, and would meet any families needs fully.
Fabulous pool, great views, easy walk to beach and resort.
Wouldnt hesitate and actually have recommended already to family and friends.

We were three families, with four children, spending our holiday the first week in October in this lovely house. We just loved our holiday and we loved the house, big, nice and clean. The kitchen was well equipped, it was easy to make breakfast and dinner. The bedrooms was big, nice and comfortable. All the families had their own bathroom. The outdoor are was perfect for eating, playing or just relaxing . The children loved the pool! Within 15 to 20 min walk you have several activities such as the jungelpark, puig Morisca, childrens playground, beaches, restaurants, and within 5min drive a big supermarket. There was plenty of space for two cars in the car park. It was easy to communicate with Jane if we had some question during the week.
In all we find the house very functional and with good space. Just perfect!

We've had the best time ever in this lovely property!
There's been 6 adults and 2 children, we've had plenty of room for each of us to enjoy both privacy and our time together.
Villa has a fantastic position, it is just outside the city center and up the hill, so nights are fresh and calm.
The pool is well maintained, we have used it every day.
Villa is decorated lovely and ecquiped with all you could think of.
I am looking forward to coming here again!

We have just spent a fabulous 2 weeks in the villa.
We were a a party of six adults and found we all had plenty room. The kitchen is very modern and was great when we wanted to eat in.
We enjoyed the big patio area too especially the seating area for sun downers!
We all agreed the bedrooms were all very comfortable - my wife and I stayed in the master which was extra fab.
We found the location very good -the road is quiet and easy to get to the beaches as well as the shops.
Jayne recommended we have an evening visit to Palma as well as enjoying the local restaurants - we hadn’t planned to go but had a fantastic night out there. I would also recommend Port Adriano for a good night out locally at their Marina.
Am happy to recommend the villa to others.

We (3 young couples) had a very nice vacation on this villa. As the weather was perfect, we didn't spend a lot of time inside. Only in the kitchen and bedrooms. Everything is nice in the kitchen except that it doesn't have a regular kettle. Bedrooms are very different unfortunately which makes it very difficult to agree who sleeps where if you are just friends and not a single family. Only one master bedroom is perfect, others are basic. Pool is not heated but very nice and convenient, we enjoyed it a lot along with very big and nice terrace. There are 2 beaches reachable by foot (15-20 mins), but both are 'city beaches' so not super cosy, that is why we drove to another coasts to see different options. Plus is that it is close to airport and Palma (25 min).

Thanks for making our holiday happen so seamless.
We had stayed in another one of southwest Mallorca's villas for 4 weeks previous and moving over to here was no trouble at all as the owner let us drop all our stuff off in the morning and return in the afternoon once all was set for us.
The villa was great and had everything we needed, Jane the owner also very helpful.
Would highly recommend not just this villa but any from southwest Mallorca, they are very professional and the team both in the UK and Mallorca cannot do enough for you, making the holiday hassle free and attending to any problems immediately.

Beautiful villa! We had a lovely 2 week stay for our wedding in nearby Andratx. The villa had everything & more there was nothing it wasn't equipped with. Great location, 15min walk to restaurants & shops. Would highly recommend this villa & company.

great house. we were 6 adults and 2 small children, fits perfect,cold but great pool, very well equipped kitchen although the knives need to be sharpened. everything there was perfect from the start.
i only wonder how hot it would be mid summer with no airco downstairs.

I would just like to say that the villa was absolutely fantastic in every way. It was perfect for wedding in so far as we had a proper base and a lovely one at that. It all went so well and the location and the villa made it so enjoyable for all of us. We would definitely hire a villa again in the future. So all in all I would say 10 out of 10.

Just spent a fantastic 10 days at villa Florencia. Truly one of the most relaxing and enjoyable family holidays we have had, beautiful garden full of colour and a great pool. The interior was very spacious and tastefully decorated, the owner had put a lot of effort and time into making sure everything was just right.
Final point which helped, the weather was fantastic.

our stay at Villa Florencia (SP01) was awesome. The owner has supported us in an excellent way. House, pool, furniture, etc. were worth the price. We can highly recommend Villa Florencia in Santa Ponsa. There were only one thing not optimal. The Wifi works well only in the kitchen and the living room. Outside and in the TV-Lounge was only a bad signal of Wifi so connection was not possible. At the end of the day we had a great time in Villa Florencia and would hire it again at any time.
